The Sutton Place Parks Conservancy announces a ribbon-cutting ceremony, to celebrate the re-opening of Clara Coffey Park, on Sutton Place  South, between 53rd and 54th Streets.  City Council Member Keith Powers and Member-Elect Julie Menin head the list of dignitaries planning to attend, at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 14. The public is also invited to attend.

The event recognizes the end of the first phase of construction of the “fly-over”, which will ultimately provide pedestrian and bike access to the East Midtown Greenway   being built in the East River, by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
